QREDIT QODE

How The Credit Algorithm Works

The Qredit Code is compiled using different factors on your credit report that influence your score. The calculation is based on 5 weighted categories, enabling individuals to understand which actions have the greatest impact on their creditworthiness. Reading the code properly can show how to prioritize efforts in your Qredit Qonquest, as you reach the top of the Credit Tower.

Payment History (35%)

The first thing any lender wants to know is whether you’ve paid past credit accounts on time. This helps a lender figure out the amount of risk it will take on when extending credit.

Amounts Owed (30%)

Using a lot of your available credit may indicate to a lender that you are overextended, and banks may interpret this to mean that you are at a higher risk of defaulting.

Credit History Length (15%)

Lenders will take into account how long your credit accounts have been established. They will review credit accounts from oldest to newest to determine the average age of all your accounts. They will also factor in how long specific credit accounts have been established and how long it has been since you used certain accounts.

New Credit (10%)

Establishing new credit accounts is important, as lenders will want to see a track record of responsible credit usage. However, keep a limit on the number of new accounts that you open. Research indicates that opening multiple credit accounts within a short period represents a greater risk, particularly for individuals without a lengthy credit history.

Credit Mix (10%)

Lenders will consider your credit mix, which includes different types of credit. The main loan types that are typically included with a Super Prime credit score are: Real Estate (mortgages/home equity), Auto (buy/lease), Installment (buy now, pay later/rent-to-own), Revolving (major credit cards/retail), and Bank (personal, business). Student loans are the only loans you do not want on your credit report.
